ついについにあげワッペンができました。
サガラ刺繍のワッペンです。
サガラはスタジャンの刺繍とかでよくある、あのモコモコした立体感のある特別な刺繍。
写真でこの手触り伝わりますかね。触るとふわふわ気持ちいい！
なんどもなんども試作を重ねて、イメージと違ったり、うまくラインが出なかったり、なかなか難しくて、正直なところなんども挫けそうになりましたが、いいものを作りたいという一心で、やっとこさ完成にこぎつけました。
時間をかけた分、手間をかけた分、いっぱい悩んだ分
なかなか面白いアゲちゃんが生まれたのでは、と感じています。
服に、帽子に、バックにとお好きなところに縫いつければ、アゲちゃんがハグしてくっついているように見えるデザインになっています。
おとなり桐生の笠盛さんにおねがいして作って頂きました。
サガラ刺繍の技術は特殊なため、扱える刺繍屋さんは少ないんですよ。おつきあいいただき感謝です。
ボディの色、目の色、縁取りラインの色の組み合わせをいろいろ試して、
以前インスタで投票してもらったみんなの意見も参考にしました。

《 ワッペンの付け方 》
つける生地の裏側から軽くアイロンを当て固定した後、糸で縫いつけることをお勧めします。
※アイロンを当てる際に強く押しあててしまうと、サガラ刺繍が潰れてしまう可能性があるので、ご注意ください。

Fluffy AGE Frog Chenille Embroidered Patch
Finally… the AGE patch is here.
After a long journey of trial and error, Age-chan has finally taken shape as a patch.
This piece is made using chenille embroidery—that soft, fluffy, three-dimensional style of embroidery you often see on classic varsity jackets.
It has a wonderfully textured surface, and it feels incredibly soft to the touch. I only wish the photo could fully capture how fluffy it really is.
We went through countless prototypes while making this. Sometimes the result didn’t match the image in my mind, and other times the lines simply wouldn’t come out the way I wanted. It was much more challenging than I expected, and to be honest, there were many moments when I felt like giving up.
But with a strong desire to create something truly good, we kept trying—and little by little, it started to come together.
All the time spent, all the effort, and all the worrying along the way…
In the end, I feel like we’ve created a rather charming little Age-chan.
The design is made so that when you sew it onto clothes, hats, bags, or anywhere you like, it looks as if Age-chan is hugging the fabric and clinging onto it.
This patch was produced together with Mr. Kasamori from neighboring Kiryu.
Since chenille embroidery requires a highly specialized technique, there are only a handful of embroidery workshops that can handle it. I’m very grateful that he was willing to take on the project with me.
I experimented with many combinations of body colors, eye colors, and outline colors, and also incorporated the feedback everyone kindly shared in the Instagram poll I held earlier.
There are nine variations in total, so I hope you’ll find a color that feels just right for you ♡

《 How to Attach the Patch 》
Lightly press the patch with an iron from the reverse side of the fabric to hold it in place.
After that, we recommend sewing it on with thread.
Please be careful not to press too firmly with the iron, as this may flatten the chenille embroidery.
